Chapter 8: Thank God!
Introduction
Thank God! is a Jataka tale about a wise farmer who carries a gift to the King. When the King playfully throws grapes at him, the farmer keeps saying "Thank God!" — and his clever reason makes us smile. It is part of Unit 3: Good Food.

Let us listen — the poem "Aachoo!": A mighty elephant with a mighty cold goes to buy a handkerchief. The sales girl says, "Sorry sir but we don't have / A handkerchief that size." "AACHOO!" says the elephant: "Forget about the handkerchief / Give me a sheet instead."
