Chapter 8: Fun with Numbers
Introduction
"Fun with Numbers" takes children beyond 20 to all the numbers up to 100. It starts with Simran packing oranges into boxes of 10, then counts 21 to 30, 31 to 50 using neem daatun (twigs) and flowers, and 51 to 99 using Ankita's mirror work. Children learn to read and write number names, see numbers as tens and ones, find missing numbers, and play a slide-and-ladder game. The chapter ends with Warli painting.
