Chapter 10: How do I Spend my Day?
Introduction
This chapter is about time in a child's everyday life. Pihu, who is 6 years old, shares her daily routine from morning to night. Children learn the parts of the day – morning, afternoon, evening and night – by looking at the sun and moon, compare which activities take longer, and learn about the four seasons.
What's in this Chapter
- Morning – "Look, the sun is rising in the sky. It is morning." Pihu gets up, has a glass of warm water, does yoga or exercise, brushes her teeth, bathes, eats breakfast and gets ready for school.
- At school she studies and plays with classmates.
- Afternoon – "The sun is high in the sky." She washes her hands and has lunch with friends, then comes home and rests.
- Evening – "See, the sun is setting." She plays with friends and then studies.
- Night – "The moon and the stars are visible in the sky." She eats dinner with her family, reads a story book and goes to sleep.
