Chapter 4: Shadow Story
Introduction
Shadow Story begins at a village fair where Nakul and his friends watch Togalu Gombeyaata, a shadow-puppet art from Karnataka in which puppets show scenes from Indian epics. The children then make animal shadows with their fingers. From shadows and tracing, the chapter moves to flat (2D) shapes — circle, rectangle, triangle and square — their straight and curved edges, corners, origami and patterns.
